140524 Cedar Point Trail Tavern Exterior

The Trail Tavern opened during the 2014 season, and features local wines and craft beers in an intimate setting along the Frontier Trail.

“The Trail Tavern is one of the buildings which was an existing building that has been moved to a site along the trail. The log cabins and Grist Mill are the other buildings which were existing and moved to the trail. These buildings were bought, marked, photographed, taken down piece by piece, moved, and re erected at their present site.

In the case of the Trail Tavern, it was an old barn framed in hand hewn logs and pegged joints, even the siding is original.”
