Worlds of Fun has announced a new KidzPass good for children ages 3 to 8 and seniors 62+. For only $25, they get access to both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun thru Labor Day, September 2, 2024. The KidzPass acts just like a Silver pass, which includes free parking and discounts.

This is an incredible deal. In addition, guests can purchase add-ons to their KidzPass that include dining and drink plans, making it an absolute steal of a deal. Where else can you get access to an amusement park all summer ($25) and eat 2 meals every day ($105) for only $130?

Worlds of Fun is the only park we have seen to date offering the KidzPass.

However, it got us thinking. Does the KidzPass replace the free Pre-K pass?

The answer is no, as Worlds of Fun is still offering the KidzPass and Pre-K pass for 2024. But why?

The Pre-K pass is valid for kids 3-5 and good for both Worlds of Fun and Oceans of Fun. So the big difference, besides the price is the KidzPass extends the age from 3-8 years old.

In addition, obviously only the KidzPass is valid for seniors 62+.

The Pre-K pass is also valid the entirety of the 2024 season, including the Halloween season. Where as the KidzPass stops after Labor Day.

The KidzPass also does NOT have the option to upgrade to All-Park Passport. Whereas a Pre-K pass tied to a pass with All-Park Passport does get access to other parks. However, keep in mind Pre-K passes are only valid for entry to California’s Great America, Carowinds, Cedar Point, Dorney Park, Kings Dominion, Valleyfair and Worlds of Fun.

Overall it is very intriguing that Worlds of Fun/Cedar Fair decided to introduce this overlapping season pass program. What will be interesting to see is if this KidzPass replaces the free Pre-K pass in 2025.
