To the great Roller Coast&#8230;<br />
To give the hybrid treatment,<br />
To that old wooden ghost. </p>
<p>Each face turned to the lakeshore<br />
To watch gravity redefined.<br />
Construction was started,<br />
Angles rose from straight lines. </p>

<p>Steel Vengeance was rising<br />
A mechanical phenomenon.<br />
Construction crews worked<br />
from dusk until dawn. </p>
<p>Cowboy hats became<br />
The new work attire.<br />
A flag was adorned<br />
To the top of one spire. </p>

<p>Transformation went on<br />
For all of summers long days<br />
The spooks of fall,<br />
Gave way to Winter’s grey haze. </p>
<p>We watched on the webcams,<br />
From the warmth of our homes<br />
Snowflakes flying over inversions,<br />
Ohio Winter chilling our bones. </p>

Steel Vengeance was complete,<br />
There was nothing to fear. </p>
<p>Mean streak is smiling down,<br />
From woodie heaven, this fine day&#8230;<br />
surveying it’s metamorphosis,<br />
In only the finest of ways. </p>

And opening day is in reach!</p>
