<p>One of the exciting food and beverage rollouts for 2019 at Valleyfair is a rotating menu at the <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/valleyfair-food/depot-refreshments/">Depot Refreshment</a> stand, offering regional cuisine from renown regional restaurants. </p>

<p>June will feature Iron Chef Justin Sutherland and some menu items from his Handsome Hog restaurant. Menu items including Shrimp Po Boy, Brisket Sandwich, Buttermilk &#038; Dry Rub Wings, and Carolina Pulled Pork. Sides will include Mac N Cheese, Wedges, Slaw, and Hushpuppies.</p>
<p>We had the new limited time shrimp po&#8217;boy sandwich and it was delicious! </p>
<p>Hand battered jumbo shrimp tossed in special spices. Served on a perfectly toasted hoagie. Topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Accompanied by a unique pickle (still a cucumber, but tossed in vinaigrette) and a lemon wedge. </p>
<p>You get your choice of side with the meal, and we elected to get the homemade mac and cheese. This is a hearty, stick to your ribs, creamy side. They topped the side with Flaming Cheetos to give it a kick and a different texture for your mouth.</p>

<strong>Cons:</strong> The pickle. Even though it is nice to say it is homemade or handcrafted, we do not really feel it added anything to this particular dish.</p>
