<p>Trying to pick a favorite meal at Carowinds is kind of like deciding on which is your favorite ride&#8230;there are a lot of factors to consider, and often it is a difficult choice. </p>
<p>When visiting the new <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/carowinds-dining-guide/blue-ridge-country-kitchen/">Blue Ridge Country Kitchen</a> at Carowinds, one is presented with several choices. Do you go with the rotisserie pizza? Or how about one of the more popular items, the half rotisserie chicken? Or the beef?</p>
<p>Fortunately, all the options at Blue Ridge Country Kitchen are on the <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/carowinds-dining-guide/">Carowinds dining plan</a>, making the decision a little easier. </p>
<p>On our first visit to the Blue Ridge Country Kitchen, our family elected to try the pizza and chicken. We got mouths to feed! </p>
<p>However, on a subsequent visit I snuck off and decided to grab the black pepper BBQ seasoned sausage. </p>

<p>Carowinds takes their sausage and slow cooks it in the rotisserie is specially made baskets. Guests than have their choice of side and a homemade biscuit.</p>
<p>This sausage is AMAZING! Really. You need to try it. On its own, it is loaded with flavor and really juicy, which was surprising. </p>
<p>We elected to get the mac and cheese on the side and this stuff is the real deal! Carowinds has created a new process for making their mac and cheese for ease in preparation and serving, while minimizing waste and cleanup. The noodles were cooked al dente and the sauce was very creamy with loads of real cheese flavor. Some days they offer a white mac and cheese and others the more traditional yellow cheddar.</p>

<p>But wait, it gets better. No matter what you get at the Blue Ridge Country Kitchen, from the pizza to the sausage, you must add the new signature Copperhead Strike hot sauce. Using a sweet tea base, Chef Kris has hand crafted this magnificent masterpiece of flavor with a sweet aroma upfront but a very mild heat on the back end. While the food is all really good, the highlight for us was the Copperhead sauce; it seriously is outstanding! </p>
<p>Never in my life have I ever been so inclined to want to drink the Copperhead sauce right from the dispenser. The park is working on being able to bottle and sell the Copperhead sauce in Blue Ridge Country Kitchen. As soon as they do, you know we will absolutely be ordering a case! </p>
<p>This may be one of our current favorite meals at Carowinds, as the sausage was very good, the mac and cheese flavorful, and wrapping it all in the Copperhead Strike sauce left a lasting impression on our memories of visiting the Blue Ridge Junction.</p>
