California’s Great America is now offering a hand breaded fried shrimp on the dining plan this season at the Outback Shack.

Guests receive six shrimp and basket of fries with an order.

The shrimp are really flavorful and a great new addition to the park. Especially from the butterflied frozen version previously offered in the park.

While we realize seafood always comes with a premium, the meal overall left us wanting more. Six shrimp just did not satisfy our definition of a meal. Had the fried shrimp been served on a nice bun with some aioli, lettuce, tomato and onion, this could have been a better meal option.

Even having lemons on hand to squeeze over the shrimp would be a nice addition.
