<p>SANTA CLARA, CA – Today, California’s Great America announced that Manuel “Manny” Gonzalez, an executive with global experience in the entertainment and hospitality industries, has joined the park as Vice President and General Manager.</p>
<p>Prior to joining California’s Great America, Gonzalez served as Managing Partner at RX Entertainment, a global attraction and consulting group. He has also held leadership roles at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, The Miami-Dade Zoological Park and Gardens, and Six Flags, where he oversaw tremendous growth and expansion, including opening the company’s first international park in Mexico.</p>
<p>“I am honored to bring my experience as a leader in the attractions industry to California’s Great America,” said Gonzalez. “Guests will see many exciting new developments at the park in the years to come, and I look forward to leading this next wave of growth.”</p>
<p>Gonzalez’s experience in driving strategic growth, as well as his background in master planning and development, will play a critical role in helping California’s Great America achieve its long-term vision. The park is currently undergoing a multi-year transformation following the City of Santa Clara’s approval of the park’s master plan.</p>
<p>Raul Rehnborg, California&#8217;s Great America&#8217;s former general manager and vice president, replaces Brad Marcy at Valleyfair.</p>
