2017 Dorney Park Summer Culinary Series

<p><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;07&sol;170705-Dorney-Park-Parkside-Pavilion&period;jpg"><img src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;07&sol;170705-Dorney-Park-Parkside-Pavilion&period;jpg" alt&equals;"170705 Dorney Park Parkside Pavilion" width&equals;"1155" height&equals;"768" class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12379" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>We recently had the chance to sit down with Dorney Parks&&num;8217&semi; Executive Chef Malo Jones and talk about his background and ongoing work with the food inside the park&period; Chef Jones has an extensive background in working at various venues as well as having learned the about various cuisines from across the country&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Dorney Park opened for 2017 the new Parkside Pavilion with the parks first major dining project in decades&period; The new kitchen is state-of-the-art and can feed upwards of 6&comma;000 guests at one time with the ability to create almost any type of cuisine requested&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Now that Chef Jones is in his second season at the park&comma; you will start to see more and more of his influence showing up in menu items&period; Take for example the Smokehouse Barbecue&comma; which features a variety of smoked menu options with chef inspired rubs and sauces with special items thrown in throughout the year&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Or head over next to Possessed to the Chef&&num;8217&semi;s Grille&comma; which features a regular menu&comma; but also chef specials throughout the year&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>We are excited to see that Dorney Park is also introducing a Summer Culinary Series throughout July and August that will feature a rotating themed menu that will be worthy of weekly visits to the park&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<h2>Dorney Park Summer Culinary Series<&sol;h2>&NewLine;<p>July 8-9&comma; 2017<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong>Pitmasters Ribfest<&sol;strong>&colon; All you can eat pork ribs&comma; hamburgers&comma; hotdogs&comma; and sides with a variety of homemade BBQ sauces&period; You absolutely must ask for and try the chef&&num;8217&semi;s BBQ&comma; as it offers an incredible flavor profile with a slight hint of heat that lingers at the end&period; We would love to see this sauce bottled and sold in the park&excl; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>July 15-16 &&num;038&semi; 22-23&comma; 2017<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong>Tex-Mex Festival<&sol;strong>&colon; Build your own chicken fajitas&comma; Mexican hot dogs&comma; and Tex-Mex steak chili&period; Includes cilantro lime rice&comma; black bean salsa&comma; and more&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>July 29-30 &&num;038&semi; August 5-6&comma; 2017<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong>Hawaiian Luau<&sol;strong>&colon; Featuring a pig roast&comma; pulled BBQ chicken and pork served with Hawaiian BBQ sauce&period; Includes Hawaiian chili meatballs&comma; smoked corn&comma; mango pineapple slaw and more&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>August 12-13 &&num;038&semi; 19-20&comma; 2017<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong>Summer Clambake<&sol;strong>&colon; Includes one clambake bag with clams&comma; mussels&comma; shrimp&comma; corn&comma; potatoes and sausage&period; Plus all you can eat hamburgers and hot dogs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Season passholders only pay &dollar;12 per person for each of the Summer Culinary Series events&period; Plus if you already have an All-Season Dining Plan&comma; you can trade one of your daily credits in for only &dollar;5&excl; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Regular guests pay &dollar;20 while kids and seniors are &dollar;5&period;00&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A special combo admission ticket and Culinary Series meal ticket is &dollar;53&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The menu inside Parkside Pavilion is served from 5&colon;30 to 8&colon;00 pm each day of the event&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>&ast; If you liked this post&comma; join other readers who have signed up to for our <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;newsletter&sol;">free Newsletter<&sol;a>&&num;8230&semi;because then you will never miss another update&excl;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><&excl;-- --><&sol;p>&NewLine;
