<p><P><P>Let it be known that one of our favorite meals at Kings Island is the <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/review-kings-island-chicken-shack-hand-breaded-tenders/">hand breaded chicken tenders from Chicken Shack</a>. The buttermilk soaked chicken is delicious and moist, and it paired nicely with the Texas toast and special sauce and fries. However, sometimes we are looking to lighten things up, and to do that we go with the Kings Island Chicken Shack Hand Breaded Chicken Tender Salad.</p>
<p>First, you create your own salad from a variety of fresh vegetables, cheeses, and dressings. Then they top it with two of the signature chicken tenders and a piece of Texas toast. </p>
<p>We like to use the secret sauce as our dressing, as it really ties the salad together with amazing flavors. </p>
<p>The salad is a nice sized portion with plenty to share if you so choose. We are also happy that both the chicken tender meal and the chicken tender salad are both of the <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/kings-island-food/">Kings Island dining plans</a>. </p>

Had this salad the other day. It was a delicious alternative to the usual meals I get at the park. I will need to give the dressing a try next time. I am a bit curious on the calories listed for this item. The menu states it is a 1000 calories however I feel this is mathematically impossible since the chicken fingers, bread, and fries are 1130. If you could provide some insight on the calories I would appreciate it. I am wondering if that figure includes everything on it.
While we do not know the exact process of calorie count determination, the salad only comes with two chicken fingers, while the chicken finger meal includes 3 tenders and fries. As with any salad, the calories typically come from the dressing.
