Review Cedar Point Chuck Wagon Fried Ice Cream

<p><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2015&sol;06&sol;150605-Cedar-Point-Fried-Ice-Cream&period;jpg"><img src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2015&sol;06&sol;150605-Cedar-Point-Fried-Ice-Cream&period;jpg" alt&equals;"150605 Cedar Point Fried Ice Cream" width&equals;"960" height&equals;"720" class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-5006" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Update&colon; Due to lack of sales&comma; the fried ice cream is no longer available&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><P><P>One of the surprising plays in the Cedar Point food lineup for 2015 was the switch from barbeque style food &lpar;ribs&comma; pulled pork&comma; etc&period;&rpar; to burritos at the <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;cedar-point-food&sol;chuck-wagon-western-foods&sol;">Chuck Wagon Western Foods<&sol;a> restaurant in the rear of the park&period; While it is reported that the quality of the food went down tremendously over the past several years&comma; there is nothing like a complete menu overhaul to get things back on track&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The new setup inside Chuck Wagon is similar to Chipotle&comma; where you walk the line building your own burrito&period; Look for a future review of the new burrito menu lineup&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the meantime&comma; we recently elected to try another new menu item&comma; the fried ice cream&excl; For &dollar;4&period;59&comma; the park takes a scoop of vanilla ice cream&comma; rolls it in crushed corn flakes&comma; and flash deep fries the dessert for 3 seconds&period; Then it is sprinkled with cinnamon&comma; and topped with whipped cream&comma; hot fudge&comma; and a cherry&comma; on top of a fried tortilla&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The dessert was an interesting treat&period; The crunchy cereal played nicely off the cold ice cream on top of the tortilla&period; Overall the fried ice cream was an interesting treat to say we tried&comma; but not sure it would be something we need to try again&period; Perhaps&comma; fried ice cream is more of an acquired taste&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Still&comma; it is great to see the park stepping outside of the norm and experimenting with some new food items&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Have you tried Cedar Point&&num;8217&semi;s fried ice cream&quest; Let us know what you thought below in the comments&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>&ast; If you liked this post&comma; join other readers who have signed up to for our <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;newsletter&sol;">free Newsletter<&sol;a>&&num;8230&semi;because then you will never miss another update&excl;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;
