<p><P><P>If you thought you loved the food at Carowinds, just wait until we tell you about a new discovery for 2016. As you hustle into the park on the way towards <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/carowinds-dining-guide/carowinds-papa-luigis-pizza/">Papa Luigi&#8217;s</a>, take note of the location, because you will want to make sure to circle back around when they open, especially if you are on the dining plans. We present you with the Carowinds Papa Luigi&#8217;s Stromboli.</p>
<p>The park takes their freshly prepared dough that is used on the flatbread pizzas. Then they take two kinds of premium Italian meats and wrap it into a Stromboli. Once baked, the golden dough comes out ready for every delicious bite&#8230;but wait, there is more!</p>
<p>The Stromboli is served with a side of marinara sauce; however, this is not your off the shelf tomato sauce. Chef Kris sat down with a manufacturer and hand created the marinara sauce. That is right, Chef has hand selected the perfect amount of acidity, tomatoes, spices, and everything else that goes into creating your own custom tomato sauce for the park. </p>
<p>The tomato sauce it so good with the perfect amount of flavor, Carowinds should consider bottling and selling the sauce in the park. When combined with the Stromboli, it is a flavorful combination that has been hand crafted for your enjoyment. </p>
<p>Carowinds is changing the way we all experience amusement park food at Cedar Fair parks, and the tomato sauce is just the tip of the iceberg of the amazing details going into making the food part of the experience.</p>
