Going back to its origins in 1976, David L. Brown, California’s Great America (then Marriott) vice president named the traditional fried chicken dinner restaurant after his wife, Maggie Brown. Soon, the original recipe fried chicken became a signature attraction in itself for guests visiting California’s Great America.

Today, Maggie Brown’s Famous Fried Chicken Restaurant goes by Maggie’s Smokehouse and Fried Chicken and offers a variety of home cooked meals for guests.

The fried chicken is marinated before being hand-battered and fried golden brown.

Today guests get the choice of 2 side dishes with their entree platter including Maggie’s Potato Salad, Sidewinder Fries, White Cheddar Mac & Cheese, and Smokehouse Beans.
