<p>Back in January, via our column with the <a href="http://www.sanduskyregister.com/story/201901310016">Sandusky Register</a>, we revealed a new program being offered at Cedar Point for stays in a resort property. </p>
<p>Guests staying in a Cedar Point resort property from May 10 through June 29 can purchase a special Wild Card package. The Cedar Point Wild Card is valid for unlimited Cedar Point admission May 11 through June 30, 2019 and gives you a test drive of owning a season pass.</p>
<p>Cedar Point Wild Card does not include a drink wristband, admission to Cedar Point Shores, parking, early entry on future visits, season pass benefits or add-on options like dining plans, drink plans, FunPix, etc.</p>
<p>A one-night stay at the beginning of the season results in a free visit for the next month and a half. That’s a bargain in our mind. However, now it gets better!</p>
<p>Cedar Point has elected to offer the Wild Card program to everyone without the need for an overnight stay. For $59.99, guests can purchase the Wild Card pass, getting them unlimited admission from May 11-June 30.</p>
<p>Your Wild Card pass would also get you access to the opening of Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island on May 25. You also get access to Brew &#038; BBQ/Frontier Festival taking place June 7-30, one of our absolute favorite events.</p>
<h2>Wild Card Groupon</h2>
<p>For a very limited time, you can also purchase the Wild Card program without paying the tax and processing fee that you pay directly on the Cedar Point website. The link below gets you the Wild Card pass through Groupon without the need to pay $2.40 tax or $6.99 processing fee, which results in a savings of 13% per pass.</p>

<p>More details on the Wild Card: </p>
<p>• The Wild Card program is an add-on for guests staying in a resort or as a stand-alone purchase.</p>
<p>• For guests purchasing via a resort stay, you receive a voucher that must be redeemed for photo ID pass at an admission gate upon first entry to Cedar Point. For guests buying the standalone Wild Card pass, redeem your voucher at the park.</p>
<p>• The Wild Card program adds the following additional cost per person to your room rate:</p>
<p>— Cedar Point’s Express Hotel: $57.39</p>
<p>— Hotel Breakers: $62.39</p>
<p>— Lighthouse Point: $62.39</p>
<p>— Castaway Bay: $77.39</p>

<p>&#8211; Guests have started to receive a limited time option to upgrade the Wild Card to a Cedar Point season pass. The emails claim they are only available for three days from receipt of the email. The Wild Card pass can be upgraded to the standard season pass for $79. An upgrade to Platinum will cost $129.</p>
<p>A regular season pass is currently $147 and Platinum $220 if purchasing new from Cedar Point. </p>
<p>The upgrade can be accessed on the <a href="https://www.cedarpoint.com/?promocode=CPSPUPGRADE19" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Cedar Point website</a> using promo code CPSPUPGRADE19. However, you also need to targeted gift code they send you via email. </p>
