<p><P><P>On August 1-2 and 8-9, 2015, Kings Dominion will host a BBQ &#038; Brew fest and Military Chef BBQ Challenge. </p>
<p>The following breweries will be appearing for your sampling enjoyment.</p>

<p>Executive Chef Paul Maloney will also present a variety of fresh BBQ options to sample as part of the event. Set up similar to the Spring Bloom event, with stations selling featured BBQ options from various regions. The BBQ &#038; Brew fest will feature BBQ from Texas, Kansas City, Memphis Tennessee, the Carolinas and Virginia and a few of Chef Paul&#8217;s specialties.</p>
<p>The menu breaks down as follows:</p>
<p><strong>Texas “Brisket House”</strong><br />
Slow smoked dry rubbed beef brisket with white bread, Potato salad, “city Slicker” Beans (a mix of beans with smoky brown sugar glaze and smoked turkey meat), smoky cowboy sauce</p>
<p><strong>“Carolina’s BBQ Cove”</strong><br />
Minced pork slider with tangy gold mustard sauce and coleslaw or hand pulled smoked vinegar pork slider with apple cider slaw and southern “white” sauce</p>
<p><strong>“Memphis Rib Room”</strong><br />
Spice rubbed slow smoked pork ribs with spicy pickles (sauce optional), White lightning Tennessee moonshine pulled pork loaded nachos</p>
<p><strong>“Kansas City Spice Shack”</strong><br />
Hickory smoked spiced chicken quarter with smoky sauce, smoked and grilled polish sausage with cornbread, spicy coleslaw<br />
<strong>“Produce Source, Fresh Country Farm Stand”</strong><br />
Grilled fresh corn on the cob, thick cut watermelon wedge, fresh peaches, cucumber tomato salad, Banana pudding</p>
<p><strong>Tastes From the Tower Food Truck (August 8-9)</strong><br />
Sweet southern peach tea with fresh mint, grilled peach half with grilled pound cake with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, Redneck eggrolls (smoky moonshine pork) with southern white sauce</p>
<p>The event does not require a separate ticket to attend (included with park admission), but you will be required to purchase food and drinks separately. The following sampler tickets could be purchased.</p>

<h2>Military Chef BBQ Challenge</h2>
<p>As part of the BBQ &#038; Brew Fest, Chef Paul is also introducing the first Military Chef BBQ Challenge. This special feature will take place on August 1 and 2 only. The participating chefs from all branches of the military will start off the weekend with an ice carving competition under the Eiffel Tower. </p>
<p>On Sunday, the chefs will prepare a variety of BBQ and will be judged in the following categories: chicken, ribs, best BBQ sauce, people’s choice, pork, side dishes and overall winner. Also, teams must produce a drink using a Coca Cola product. Additional, teams must use a featured beer from Center of the Universe brewery in some way, as a marinade, sauce, etc. Teams are also encouraged to use a Coke product in another fashion such as injecting meats, in a sauce, in a marinade etc.</p>
