<p><P><P>No doubt, we can all agree the cost of the Cedar Fair souvenir cups is expensive, even with unlimited refills on the day of purchase. However, what if there was a means to maximize the amount of beverage you can get on those days that are hot and you have to pay per refill? </p>
<p>Fill the cup with too much ice, and you short yourself on the actual drink. Plus, if you wait too long, the ice melts and waters down the beverage. On the contrary, if you put to little ice in the cup, you are stuck with a warm, nasty drink when you need it most. </p>
<p>Your initial Coca-Cola fountain drink should come out around 38°F based on their ideal serving temperature. </p>
<p>Most ice served in the parks is created rapidly with a high melt rate and begins to instantly dilute your drink.</p>
<p>In order to maximize your drink, you need to factor in your head approximately how long before your next refill and/or until you consume all of the beverage. </p>
<p>According to a recent chart in Men&#8217;s Journal magazine, the following chart will help you maximize your beverage coolness to heat consumption.</p>
<p>If you plan on consuming the drink within:</p>
<p>>20 min = 0% ice<br />
30 min = 5% ice<br />
45 min = 12.5%<br />
60 min = 20%<br />
90 min = 35%</p>
<p>Personally, no matter how quick or slow I consume a beverage, I enjoy it extremely cold, and thus a lot of ice. Plus, with the $5 cup reactivation for the day, we easily get enough refills to make it worth the cost.</p>
