<p>Cedar Point was set to celebrate the 150th anniversary in 2020, but we all know what happened with the pandemic. Fortunately, Cedar Point elected to carry over the celebration into 2021 for their 152 season. </p>
<p>Of course the park is offering some great programs like the <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/how-to-enter-cedar-point-ticket-of-a-lifetime/">Ticket of a Lifetime</a> promotion and opened the new <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-snake-river-expedition-takes-on-former-paddlewheel-excursions/">Snake River Expeditions</a>. </p>
<p>As the sun begins to set on the day, Cedar Point kicks off the Celebrate 150 Spectacular which features an all new parade and nightly stage performance. Starting at 8:45 pm each night June 26 to August 15, the parade makes its way from in front of GateKeeper and up the Wicked Twister midway. Then it makes the turn towards the main midway, runs down the east side in front of the arcade, makes the turn near Raptor and then continues up the front midway into Celebration Plaza (near Iron Dragon). </p>
<p>The parade features all new beautifully prepared floats celebrating various aspect of Cedar Point&#8217;s history. Lets take a look at the parade floats.</p>

<p>Dispersed throughout the parade floats is a huge allotment of live entertainment. Beautifully outfitted, choreographed to an original score, the actors bring a huge amount of energy to the midways! </p>

<p>While the parade starts at 8:45 pm, the floats really come alive once the sun sets. The lighting on the floats is spectacular and really brings them to the next level.</p>

<p>The parade ends at the Celebration Stage, where the floats are parked and all the live entertainment rushes backstage to outfit change for the show. We can not speak highly enough for the energy all the workers bring to the show. Not sure how they even keep it up after just performing throughout the parade, and then needing to perform a 30-40 minute stage show. </p>

<p>This level of celebration at Cedar Point is quite impressive. This is not your typical HalloWeekends parade. The floats. The entertainment. The outfits. The emotions. The Celebrate 150 Spectacular is everything we wanted, highlighting the deep connection so many have to the parks. Whether it a world class roller coaster, or a night on the beach, to time with friends and family. </p>
