<p><P><P>Carowinds will debut a new Hand Pie and Funnel Cake stand this year next to Chickie&#8217;s &#038; Pete&#8217;s at Boardwalk Dessert. </p>
<p>On the menu will be some new items for 2015. </p>
<p>First up will be freshly made Hand Pies. The definition of a Hand Pie, for those that do not know, is &#8220;a semilunar-shaped pastry with either a sweet or savory filling, formed by placing a dollop of filling onto a circular piece of biscuit-style dough and then folding it over and crimping it shut. They may be baked, fried or deep-fried.&#8221;</p>
<p>Carowinds will feature special flavors depending on the season. Summer flavors will include key lime, strawberry, and peach. In the fall, pumpkin, apple, and Oreo flavors will be featured. Additional optional flavors will be mango, chocolate, white chocolate, wildberry, raspberry, blueberry, banana rum, Jake &#038; Coke, and creme caramel.</p>
<p>Also on the menu will be large, oversized funnel cakes measuring 20 inches in diameter. Guests will be able to add up to four (4) toppings to their funnel cake, which will be served in a custom box. </p>
