Did you hear the hints dropped about the new Canada’s Wonderland signature beers featured in the park? We first learned about the new micro-brews at the BBQ & Brew announcement. Thanks to the park, we have been able to get some additional exclusive details on the new offerings.

The Canada’s Wonderland food and beverage team partnered with the McAuslan Brewing in Montreal, Canada, which has 25 years of brewing experience.

The criteria of the recipes would be that they needed to be approachable without being intimidating for the guests of Canada’s Wonderland. The beverages should be considered “gateway beers” to introduce guests to the wonderful world of craft beer.

The team decided on the Behemoth Blonde & Leviathan Amber Ale.

Behemoth Blonde – this craft beer is designed for “great drinkability” — essential for thirst quenching on those hot summer days at Canada’s Wonderland. It employs a fine balance of malts and clean hop taste with a blend of Golding and Williamette hops. It pours with a bright golden colour and refreshing taste. Perfect for on the patio or at a cabana at Splash Works!

Leviathan Amber Ale – this craft beer is designed to be a fantastic food pairing to their new Signature Burger. In order to enhance the guest’s flavour experience of the burger’s chuck patty, bacon, provolone cheese, and onion ring topped with BBQ sauce, the Canada’s Wonderland team requested a beer that would complement — not compete — with the overall dining experience. This beer presents itself with a striking mahogany hue and uses the same Golding and Williamette hops yet we roasted the barley a bit more and include Crystal malts in order to strike the right balance when paired with the delicious Signature Burger.

The Leviathan Ale and Behemoth Ale are available in the following locations:
· Waterpark Bar (located next to the Cabanas)
· Maple VQA Beer and Wine Bar (located next to Risto Pizza Pizza)
· Muskoka Burger and Bar (located by Timberwolf Falls and Action Theatre)

We are so excited to see the Cedar Fair parks diving into craft beers to pair with their lineups of new menu options throughout the parks, and these Canada’s Wonderland brews are the perfect fit.
