<p>If you have followed along with our CPFoodBlog adventures for a number of years, or if you are new to the family, you will quickly find out that one of our favorites Cedar Fair amusement parks is up north at Canada&#8217;s Wonderland. The park is simply&#8230;fantastic! </p>
<p>While, yes, visiting Canada in general is another country, a day at Canada&#8217;s Wonderland is like being transported to another world. </p>
<p>First, the Canada&#8217;s Wonderland entry, fountain and mountain are iconic symbols that set the mood for the day. Second, the themed sections of the park are nice to experience the different styles, and for 2019, we will see lots of the old school charm return from the early days of the park. </p>
<p>For the coaster fans, Canada&#8217;s Wonderland offers 17 roller coasters now, including the addition of <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/canadas-wonderland-yukon-striker-ready-to-break-records/">Yukon Striker</a>. Pair that with the airtime hills of a hypercoaster (Behemoth), and one of Cedar Fair&#8217;s four giga-coasters (Leviathan), and this visit is a must for those racking up ride credits. </p>
<p>Of course there is the flat ride collection which is a pretty spectacular array of rides that you will not find in any other Cedar Fair park. </p>
<p>Then, you have the food. Yes we are the food blog, so of course we consider it our civic duty to try as much of the cuisine as possible. However, here is the thing, and we are not new to saying this. When you look at Cedar Fair parks as a whole and the food they offer, Canada&#8217;s Wonderland is always in our top two alongside Carowinds. </p>
<p>Of course guests can get your standard pizza and chicken fingers when visiting Canada&#8217;s Wonderland, but did you know you can also enjoy authentic Indian food? Or classic Canadian dishes like poutine? </p>
<p>Where Canada&#8217;s Wonderland also really excels is their special food festivals throughout the year! </p>
<p>For us, it all started back in 2016 with the introduction of <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/review-canadas-wonderland-brew-bbq/">Canada&#8217;s Wonderland Brew &#038; BBQ</a>. Since then, the park has been firing on all cylinders with food festivals that meet a wide variety of palettes, and the food is outstanding! </p>
<h2>2019 Canada&#8217;s Wonderland Food Festivals</h2>
<p>One of the highlights that all Cedar Fair parks have been trying to incorporate into their special events is the inclusion of dining plans. The events at Canada&#8217;s Wonderland have been <a href="https://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/canadas-wonderland-food/">dining plan friendly</a> for a number of years, making it a no brainer to visit during the festivities. </p>
<p><strong>Celebration Canada</strong> (June 29 to July 14) </p>
<p>Back in 2017, in collaboration with Canada&#8217;s 150th anniversary as a country, Canada&#8217;s Wonderland hosted a special Celebration Canada event featuring special entertainment and food to honor the country&#8217;s heritage. </p>
<p>Celebration Canada was such a big hit, the event is back for its third year, June 29 through July 14, 2019. </p>
<p>From wood fired pizzas to deep-fried blueberry maple butter tarts, Celebration Canada is a great opportunity to see what is going on in the great up north.</p>

<p><strong>Brew &#038; BBQ</strong> (July 18 to July 21) </p>
<p>Can we just take a moment to say how thankful we are that Canada&#8217;s Wonderland continues to offer a &#8220;Brew &#038; BBQ&#8221; event each year without the need to rebrand it every season like some of the other parks. </p>
<p>Canada&#8217;s Wonderland&#8217;s Executive Chef, Dilup Attygalla, continues to impress us each season, and it all started with the debut of this event. From BBQ Tandoori Chicken Wings to the BBQ Pork Belly sandwich (Oh, man this one is AMAZING!), and over 70+ craft beers from around the region, there is a reason this event is VERY popular and returns each year! </p>

<p><strong>Taste of Mexico</strong> (August 10 to August 11)</p>
<p>New for 2019, Canada’s Wonderland will offer a Taste if Mexico event featuring South of the Border cuisine. </p>
<p><strong>Taste of Greece</strong> (August 17 to August 18)</p>
<p>The Taste of Greece also returns for its third season at Canada&#8217;s Wonderland. This cultural celebration of Greek heritage is a great event featuring live music and of course the food! </p>
<p>From gyro to the Loukoumadas (you have to try these!) to traditional moussaka, there is some really great cuisine on display that is worth the adventure.</p>

<p><strong>Taste of Italy</strong> (August 24 to August 25)</p>
<p>If you even attempt to say you do not eat carbs, we can not be friends. I mean come on, pasta! How can anyone not live without the glorious comfort of the noodle&#8230;or pizza! </p>
<p>Celebrate Italian traditions with an array of &#8220;boot peninsula&#8221; inspired dishes from around the region that will have you craving for an afternoon siesta. </p>

<p><strong>Oktoberfest</strong> (September 14-15 and September 21-22)</p>
<p>As someone with a lot of German blood running through my veins, we are obliged to take part in the annual tradition of Oktoberfest at Canada&#8217;s Wonderland. This two weekend event pours the pints highs and serves some of the best inspired cuisine this side of the Rhine. I mean come on, who can resist beer &#038; cheddar soup and brats on pretzel rolls piled high with kraut? </p>

<p>In all seriousness, between all the great rides, the debut of Yukon Stiker as the anchor to the newly themed Frontier Canada area, and the food, this is a great time to renew that passport and spend a vacation up north!</p>
