<p>Today guests took part in Cedar Point&#8217;s annual #WinterChillOut special event, where a limited number of tickets were sold to benefit <a href="https://akidagain.org/chapter/northern-ohio-chapter/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">A Kid Again</a> charity. While there was no blanket of snow covering the park, it was an excellent opportunity to see everything. Cedar Point helped raise over $40,000 for charity, guests got a behind-the-scenes tour around the park, a warm lunch, and insight into all of the unannounced improvements for 2018. Below is a breakdown of all the food related news, and it is quite extensive! </p>
<p>&#8211; Brew Kettle will introduce a new beer themed to Steel Vengeance.</p>
<p>&#8211; In 2016, Cedar Point discontinued their partnership with Chick-fil-A, replacing it with their own <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20161013120947/http://www.sanduskyregister.com:80/Food-and-Drink/2016/05/03/Cedar-Point-blogger-dishes-on-new-park-food.html?">Frontier Inn Chicken restaurant</a>. For 2018, guests will rejoice that Chick-fil-A is coming back! </p>

<p>&#8211; Boardwalk construction progress continues, connecting the front parking lot to Cedar Point beach and back to Cedar Point Shores. A new &#8220;Sand Bar&#8221; will now be on the Boardwalk featuring a full service bar and Beach Band stage.</p>
<p>&#8211; <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/sagebrush-sues-frontier-food-co/">Sagebrush Sue&#8217;s</a>, an eatery in Frontier Town, will be redone as Sidewinder Sue&#8217;s. New sandwiches to debut include the Smokehouse, Loaded Sidewinder and The Chuck Wagon. Also featuring new “twisty” fries with meat toppings of pulled pork, brisket or chili.</p>
<p>&#8211; <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/cedar-point-food/buckaroos-burritos/">Buckaroo&#8217;s Burritos</a> will be Miss Keat&#8217;s Smokehouse featuring 1 and 2 meat platters with brisket, pork, wings, sausage along with various sides.</p>

<p>&#8211; The Trading Post/General Store will be a new candy and fudge store similar to <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/cedar-point-food/cedar-point-sweet-spot/">Sweet Spot</a>.</p>
<p>&#8211; <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/burger-patio/">Burger Patio</a> will be the new Buckaroo&#8217;s Burritos.</p>
<p>&#8211; <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/park-food-guides/cedar-point-food/famous-daves-bbq-shack/">Famous Dave&#8217;s BBQ Shack</a> will become Frontier Foldovers, featuring new quick-service food stop will offer folded brisket, chicken and Italian meat sandwiches along with fries, jumbo pickles and chips.</p>
<p>&#8211; <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/roundup/">The Roundup</a> will feature new menu items like blackened smokehouse burger, Digger challenge, and chicken tenders.</p>
<p>&#8211; <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/coca-cola-refresh-station/">Coke Refresh</a> across from Gemini to be new Coke Freestyle. This one is a bit baffling given that the <a href="http://cpfoodblog.com/cedar-point-food/coca-cola-freestyle-cafe/">Coca-Cola Freestyle Cafe</a> location already on the Gemini midway is not always open, let alone the small Refresh stand. Possibly with more foot-traffic they will be better manned. </p>
<p>&#8211; Coke Refresh under SkyRide to be utilized. This stand already functioned and was branded as a Refresh station in 2017, but also was seldom even open. </p>
<p>&#8211; Coke Refresh by Scrambler to become Crazy Cotton Candy stand featuring 12 flavors. This is really exciting and was really needed, as there were no &#8220;fresh-spun&#8221; cotton candy locations around the park, as they pushed more for the pre-packaged containers.</p>
