2017-cedar-fair-2-day-all-day-dining-plan

Thanks to a reader tip from Nick, several Cedar Fair parks have listed a new 2017 two day all day dining plans on their website.

The two day, all day dining plans allow guests to eat once every 90 minutes at participating locations and do not include a drink. Single all day dining plans are currently $29.99-31.99, which we think is a tremendous bargain if you can use the plan more than 3 times per visit (assuming roughly $10 cost per meal sans drink). The two day dining plans offer even a bigger discount as outlined below.

Carowinds- $49.98
Cedar Point- $53.98
Dorney Park- $53.98
Kings Island- $49.98
Valleyfair- $49.98
Worlds of Fun- $49.98

So typically you save about $10, making it tremendously valuable after eating your fifth meal over two days.

What is even better about the two day all day dining plans is they do NOT need to be used on consecutive days. This is great news! This means you can use the plan once in the spring, and then again on a second visit later in the summer.

Of course if you plan on going multiple times per season with a season pass, the all-season dining plans provide tremendous value when eating more than 9-12 times per year, which is easy to do. We estimate in 2016, after visiting 8 of the Cedar Fair parks over the course of 41 visits, we ate probably 60-70 meals per dining plan. Considering we purchased our 2016 dining plans at the $99 price point and had three of them, that’s a rough cost of only $1.41-1.65 per meal. Not a bad return on investment.

Will you be buying the new dining plans, or sticking with your all-season plan?
