When Carowinds Executive Chef Kris Siuta set out to reshape the face of dining at the Charlotte area amusement park, he had a monumental task taller than that of the first hill on Fury 325. Starting with a clean pallet, Mr. Siuta has done a tremendous job of providing fresh ingredients, new options, and incredibly food options never before seen in the Carowinds experience.

In addition to fan favorites like fresh barbeque, salads, and hand tossed pizzas, he also has taken the opportunity to provide guests with new flavor experiences. What are Carowinds Fun Fries?

According to the Charlotte Observer, “One of his favorite discoveries: At an Indian supermarket, he found [tapioca based] wheat pellets and discovered that when you fry them, they turn into crispy tubes in different colors. He flavors them with fruit powders and calls them Fun Fries.”

Guests can find Fun Fries at the Snack Shack stand in the Planet Snoopy area of the park.
