POPCORN BUCKET – Some of the best meal value when visiting Cedar Point comes in the form of the meal plans. Pay one price for the All-Day or All-Season food plans, and eat a bunch of food throughout the day at different locations around the park (and Cedar Point Shores). However, sometimes guests are looking for their favorite salty snack, popcorn.
Cedar Point pops their own popcorn fresh on site daily. For $7.29 you purchase a bucket filled with popcorn. Then bring your bucket back the rest of the season and for $0.99 each time they will refill the bucket.
In the past, popcorn buckets have been able to be refilled at sister Cedar Fair parks like Kings Island, Carowinds, and Dorney Park. This still “should” be the case for this season, but the parks are using different color buckets. So we are not 100% sure at this time.
The Carowinds popcorn bucket is $6.99 and includes unlimited refills on day of purchase, but in the past they have honored the $0.99 refills on subsequent visits.
As a data point, Kings Island used to allow you to refill the buckets with cotton candy for $0.99, but the program has been discontinued as far as we know. Dorney Park still does offer $0.99 cotton candy refills!
Popcorn buckets can be an excellent value for families and friends who do not mind sharing.
