After many times visiting Kings Island each year, our trip would not be complete without a stop at the Chicken Shack for their hand-breaded chicken tenders. After being marinated for 24 hours, they are hand-battered and fried, served with a delicious piece of Texas Toast, fries, and a special house sauce. The Kings Island chicken tenders really are fantastic and need to be rolled out to the rest of the parks.
We love the chicken tenders as a stand alone meal, as a chicken salad and as a wrap.
Sadly, after being on the dining plans in 2015, the wrap was removed in 2016 and 2017. The chicken tender meal and salad are still offered on the dining plans.
During a recent visit, we elected to change it up a little and try and hand-breaded chicken tenders in a wrap.
After the chicken tenders are sliced and placed into a tortilla, guests have the choice of what type of vegetable to add to the wrap (lettuce, onion, jalapeno, tomato, bacon pieces, etc.) as well as a selection of sauces.
We choose to go with the house sauce since it pairs nicely with the chicken tenders.
The hand-breaded chicken tender wrap was fantastic! Just like it’s stand-alone counterpart, the chicken was phenomenal and played nicely with all the fresh vegetables and sauce.
Once again our taste buds are craving a return visit to Kings Island, because our bellies are always happier when we do.
