Regardless of whether one may be in the Coca-Cola or Pepsi camp, one thing we have always loved about Coke is their ability to use creative marketing and rewarding their fanbase.

Believe it or not, when we first started the CPFoodBlog in August 2013, we were not even season passholders. We were able to create the website and content simply by redeeming MyCokeReward points for free tickets to Cedar Point and other various promos. It was not until the 2015 season that we fully dove into the culture and became Platinum passholders.

As in everything, the good old days of the MyCokeRewards program are long gone, as the program closed in July 2017. While the program had its own ups and downs (with some really bad marketing campaigns), there was still opportunities to occasionally get free tickets to the Cedar Fair parks we all love.

New for 2018, Coke is using a new Sip & Scan technology (in addition to the codes under the caps). We recently ran a test to see what we could unlock, and low and behold, we discovered an instant win opportunity for tickets to Cedar Point.

In order to access the system, simply visit Coke.com on your mobile browser.

Then click the Sip & Scan icon to take a picture of the Sip & Scan logo on the side of select Coca-Cola products.

You will then be given a choice of two prizes to try and win instantly.

Since we live within the vicinity of Cedar Point, our location services rewarded us with an opportunity to win two Cedar Point tickets. We also tested the program while at Kings Island, and were not given the opportunity to win tickets there; however, they do show as being an option on the Coke promo website.

Even if you do not win instantly from Sip & Scan, be sure to save your cap and enter the code at Coke.com to enter and win other prizes (which they periodically offer Cedar Fair tickets here too).
