One of the exciting food and beverage rollouts for 2019 at Valleyfair is a rotating menu at the Depot Refreshment stand, offering regional cuisine from renown regional restaurants.

June will feature Iron Chef Justin Sutherland and some menu items from his Handsome Hog restaurant. Menu items including Shrimp Po Boy, Brisket Sandwich, Buttermilk & Dry Rub Wings, and Carolina Pulled Pork. Sides will include Mac N Cheese, Wedges, Slaw, and Hushpuppies.

We had the new limited time shrimp po’boy sandwich and it was delicious!

Hand battered jumbo shrimp tossed in special spices. Served on a perfectly toasted hoagie. Topped with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Accompanied by a unique pickle (still a cucumber, but tossed in vinaigrette) and a lemon wedge.

You get your choice of side with the meal, and we elected to get the homemade mac and cheese. This is a hearty, stick to your ribs, creamy side. They topped the side with Flaming Cheetos to give it a kick and a different texture for your mouth.
