Everyone loves fries, but when you add unique toppings to fried potatoes, you make magic. One of Knott’s Berry Farm unique menu options is Carne Asada Fries served at La Papa Loca in Fiesta Village.

Some of the best news we heard in early 2017 was when Knott’s Berry Farm added Carne Asada Fries to the dining plans! Adding of the Carne Asada Fries really enhanced the dining plans by offering more options than previously available.

The Carne Asada Fries take nice and crispy potato strings and top them with a good amount of chopped steak, sour cream, and guacamole.

The steak was well cooked and tender. While the sour cream and guacamole were nice enhancements to the dish, we would have also liked to see some pico de gallo or salsa available too.

In addition, we would have liked to see the shoestring fries swapped out with waffle fries to more resemble nachos and be finger friendly.

Overall we really enjoyed the Carne Asada Fries and are thankful for the new dining plan option at Knott’s Berry Farm.

Tip: The same fries are available at Calico Fry Co but called Cowboy Fries. The line there is also often shorter.
