Review: Kings Island Smokehouse Smoked Turkey

<p><a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;08&sol;170812-Kings-Island-Smokehouse-Turkey&period;jpg"><img src&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2017&sol;08&sol;170812-Kings-Island-Smokehouse-Turkey&period;jpg" alt&equals;"170812 Kings Island Smokehouse Turkey" width&equals;"768" height&equals;"768" class&equals;"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12822" &sol;><&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>One thing we really like about the new smokehouse concept at several of the Cedar Fair parks is the team is not afraid to experiment with limited time menu items&period; This gives the team a chance to try new techniques with various menu items and allows the guest to take advantage of the menu&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>We were extremely excited to see Kings Island&&num;8217&semi;s newest food venue&comma; the <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;park-food-guides&sol;kings-island-food&sol;island-smokehouse&sol;">Island Smokehouse<&sol;a>&comma; offering a limited time smoked turkey&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The meal included several thick slices of turkey and a choice of side&period; We opted for our favorite corn bread pudding and a side of the spicy BBQ sauce which is absolutely superb&excl; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The turkey packed a nice&comma; smokey flavor and retained it&&num;8217&semi;s juiciness&comma; which is the key to roasting any turkey&period; We were impressed with the smoked turkey and foresee it making a return later in the season&comma; perhaps for Winterfest&excl; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>To note&comma; on our previous visits&comma; the <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;web&period;archive&period;org&sol;web&sol;20190726061306&sol;https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;visitkingsisland&period;com&sol;blog&sol;2017&sol;june&sol;island-smokehouse-a-game-changer-for-food">corn bread pudding<&sol;a> was simply amazing&excl; However&comma; this time it was really dry with some of the corn also not retaining their moisture&period; Something happened with the batch we had&comma; as it was not ideal&period; We hope this gets checked as we have been seeing this as an issue since our initial review&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>If you tried the smoked turkey this season&comma; let us know what you thought below in the comments&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong>&ast; If you liked this post&comma; join other readers who have signed up to for our <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;cpfoodblog&period;com&sol;newsletter&sol;">free Newsletter<&sol;a>&&num;8230&semi;because then you will never miss another update&excl;<&sol;strong><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><&excl;-- --><&sol;p>&NewLine;
