One of the hidden things at Cedar Point that we always found peculiar this past season was while Red Gold was the official ketchup sponsor, you could still find Heinz ketchup at Johnny Rockets.
Red Gold became the official ketchup throughout the Cedar Fair network of parks in 2010, replacing Heinz.
This new partnership includes Cedar Fair’s flagship park in Sandusky, Ohio – Cedar Point, along with Kings Island in Mason, Ohio, Michigan’s Adventure near Muskegon, Mich., Cedar Point’s Soak City waterpark in Sandusky, Ohio and Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom waterpark in Aurora, Ohio.
The Red Gold partnership was for five years through the 2014 season. While the program covered a select group of the parks at first, it was later extended into the other Cedar Fair parks.
For the 2015 season, we will now see a change in ketchup (mustard, relish and mayonnaise), with the return of Heinz as the official sponsor of Cedar Fair parks.
This also means French’s Mustard is officially out as a sponsor.
How do you feel about this change in condiment partnership?
Thanks to Knott’s Network for alerting us of this change!
