When it comes to chicken, we have tried the best including Mrs. Knott’s fried chicken, Kings Dominion’s Country Kitchen fried chicken and Kings Island’s hand battered chicken tenders. So we were curious whether the Carowinds Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders would be worth the time and effort to create a glorious chicken entree.
Did you know that nearly all of the the chicken tenders now served at Carowinds are hand battered. Yes, there are only two stands currently that do not have the kitchen capabilities for hand battering, which is phenomenal!
Once again, Carowinds food & beverage team continues to impress with elevating the Cedar Fair dining experience. While the typical frozen chicken tenders are alright, there is no replacing the marinated and hand-battering version.
We were really impressed at how juicy and flavorful the chicken tenders were and so, so happy that you can get them throughout Carowinds like at Harmony Hall, Jukebox Diner, and Camp Cookout.
Fact Sheet
What: Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders
Where: Harmony Hall/Juke Box Diner/Camp Cookout (Carowinds)
Cost: $12.99 (Harmony Hall/Camp Cookout); $13.49 (Juke Box)
Dining Plan: Yes
Pros: Far superior to the frozen version. Super tender and flavorful.
Cons: Yeah, yeah, the chicken is fried. However, we would really like to see this served with an alternate side option as opposed to fries. Perhaps it would be nice to have it served with a decent sized salad that one could slice the chicken tenders on top.
