We all certainly had a FUN season together with the introduction of Forbidden Frontier on Adventure Island and the new Provisions food stand, which was a raging success with the addition of being added to the Cedar Point dining plan! Of course we had the return of the ever popular Frontier Festival/Brew & BBQ, which always adds some exciting new menu options. Then there is always a cap off to summer with the return of Cedar Point Nights.
However, now comes certainly a lot of people’s favorite time of year, that is also sad as it signals an end to the season is near.
Who loves HalloWeekends at Cedar Point? We certainly do, as it offers a big change up from the typical season. In addition, it brings in a host of specialty menu options, with many exclusive to the fall season.
Therefore, we proudly present our annual list of all the specialty menu options.
2019 Cedar Point HalloWeekends Food Guide
Bread Bowls
The chili and soup bread bowls at Cedar Point HalloWeekends have easily been one of our family’s favorite seasonal menu items since first being introduced last year.
Guests can get the hearty bread bowls at Buckaroo’s Burritos and Miss Keat’s Smokehouse, and yes, they are on the dining plan!
Corn on the Cob Creations
If you have not tried roasting your corn on the grill, you have no idea what you are missing! Seriously, at home, grilling corn on the cob is the only way we make it anymore. So good!
Now that Provisions is closed for the season, Cedar Point is once again offering roasted corn over on the Gemini midway. $5.34 after tax.
Specialty Funnel Cakes
The Bayou Refreshments stand up at the front of the park is offering two specialty funnel cakes for HalloWeekends!
S’mores Funnel Cake (Topped with marshmallow fluff, warm chocolate, graham crackers and whipped topping)- $11.99
Apple Pie Funnel Cake (Topped with warm apple pie filling and graham crackers)- $11.99
Whole Roasted Pig
At the same food stand on the Gemini midway, guests can see whole pigs being slow roasted. Stop by and get a fresh pulled pork sandwich for $9.06 (after tax).
We would love to see the pulled pork and corn combined as a platter and offered on the dining plan, but sadly neither option is DP eligible.
Turkey Legs
There is no denying, lots of people love getting turkey legs when visiting an amusement park. Get yours on the Gemini midway adjacent to the corn/roast pig stand. $12.80 after tax.
Freshly Made Mini Donuts
Mini Donuts? You had us at cinnamon sugar. Available at Cotton Candy Creations and Sweets-N-Treats. 7 donuts for $5.
Hot Chocolate & Cider
As the nights gets cool, it is always refreshing to get warmed up with a cozy beverage. If a Starbucks pumpkin spiced latte is not in your future, head to the following stands to pick up hot chocolate.
– Engine House
– Fountain Custard
– Miss Keat’s Smokehouse
– Skyride Refresh
As of now, we have not seen the return of the all-season hot chocolate cup yet.
Kettle Corn
The smell of freshly cooked kettle corn also grabs you as guests enter the Frontier Trail. Look for a return of the extra large bags of the popcorn treat. $10.66 after tax.
Seasonal Alcoholic Beverages
Available at the following locations:
– Beer Alley in Dead End Kitchen Alley
– Dive-In
– Boos Brews on the Gemini Midway
– Trail Tavern
Sweet & Savory Sundaes
Our most anticipated new items for the 2019 Cedar Point HalloWeekends Food Guide is a transformation of the Screamin’ Skyride Sundaes stand that is quite different than what you might expect.
Savory Chicken Sundae (Creamy mashed potatoes topped with corn, popcorn chicken and creamy gravy)- $10.99 (and included on the dining plan)
Brownie Dream Sundae (Dark chocolate brownie layered between vanilla ice cream, topped with chocolate sauce, M&Ms, whipped cream and sprinkles)- $8.49
Ice Cream Dish- $5.49
Additional Toppings (M&M’s, Chocolate Syrup, Sprinkles)- $0.99
Food Trucks
As seasonal employees head back to school or their country of origin, HalloWeekends becomes a good time for the food trucks to bring in their specialty fare.
This years lineup of HalloWeekends food trucks include the following:
– Firehouse Grilling Co
– SWAT Food Truck
– Empanadas and More
– Hogback BBQ Pit
– Cupzilla
– The Bagel Buggy
– GessWho Taco
– The Gaucho & The Gringa
– Hot Dog Heaven
Day of the Fed / Night of the Living Fed
New Day of the Fed buffet gives guests the option to dine with scare actors on Saturdays. Admission gives you one time through the buffet. As a bonus, the Cedar Point dining plans are valid with the Day of the Fed meal!
Guests also have an option for the premium Night of the Living Fed buffet.
Fudge
Stop into the Sweet Spot along the main midway and try some of the seasonal flavored fudge.
While in Sweet Spot, be sure to try their unique salt water taffy, marshmallow wands, or many other hand dipped chocolate treats.
Caramel Apples
Sure caramel apples may be available all season, but with the weather change comes the desirable urge to eat these delicious treats. Available at Sweet Spot.
Pumpkin Frozen Yogurt and Ice Cream
Both Yogurt Plus stands offer a Pumpkin Pie frozen yogurt (low fat), or combine with vanilla frozen yogurt (nonfat) to make Pumpkin Pie a la mode.
Toft’s also sells a limited time Pumpkin flavored ice cream.
