Kings Island has announced the return of the Coasterstock roller coaster enthusiast event on May 15-16, 2020. No doubt the highlight of this years event will be all things Orion.
Want to ride the new giga-coaster without waiting in the line with the general public? Want behind-the-scenes access to see Orion up close and personal? The event packs in many of the returning favorite rides and tours, along with some new details to make this years event even more exciting than years past.
This years Coasterstock event at Kings Island will be our family’s sixth time attending since it first debuted in 2015. When the event first debuted, it was a surprise to all of us, because not only did our family have an amazing time, we also met loads of new friends that we could not imagine living without. We have said it from the beginning, Coasterstock has grown into something so much more for our family, as the event is like a really big family reunion without the awkward conversations with Great Aunt Lucy.
To get access to Coasterstock, you have to be more than just a season passholder, or even daily ticket guest. Access to Coasterstock is only granted to those in specific coaster clubs.
Approved clubs include the following:
– The American Coaster Enthusiasts
– Club Theme Park Review
– Coaster Buzz Club
– Coaster Crew Platinum
– European Coaster Club
– Florida Coaster Club
– Great Ohio Coaster Club
– Ohio State Engineering Group
– Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain
TIP: We happen to be members to several of the coaster clubs, but if you are looking for a great deal, check out our exclusive two year deal with the Coaster Crew. Normally a one year Platinum Coaster Crew membership in $25; however, our deal gets you 2 years for only $45! Plus it gets even better with each additional family member only costing $10 each. It is really a tremendous value!
Guests must be an active member of their organization at the time of the event. Therefore, you have plenty of time to still join and participate in Coasterstock.
Tickets for Coasterstock go on sale Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:00 am. We strongly urge attendees to purchase tickets early, as they do sell out. Plus with Orion debuting, this years Coasterstock is going to be a very popular event.
2020 Coasterstock tickets cost $47 for passhholders and $87 for non-passholders. Guests can purchase tickets on the Kings Island Coasterstock page.

Attending Coasterstock is a marathon, and one needs to pace themselves to keep on schedule. Often time you will see attendees leave midday to go nap in their hotel before heading back into the park at night for ERT. It can be a long day from 8 am until after midnight, and then get up again on Saturday and do it all again.
In addition, for those that feel inclined, Kings Island also hosts a special Photo Contest and Social Media Rock Star Contest to keep you busy posting about the event. Also, new for 2020, the park will hold a special Amazing Coasterstock Challenge, with details yet to be announced. This sounds like it could be similar to The Amazing Race show on CBS.
There are many reasons our family attends Coasterstock each year. It is a special event like no other, giving us exclusive access to the park and officials, as well as a great time with friends. We hope to see you there in 2020!
