When it comes to amusement parks, our family has no problem paying a premium for our Platinum season passes that get us into Cedar Fair parks across North America. However, that does not preclude us from trying to find the best deal.
At the beginning of the CPFoodBlog journey, we also found it a good deal to join a roller coaster club to gain access to exclusive privileges throughout the year. So we selected the Coaster Crew because it provided good value to our family. Little did we know it would also be the start to an incredible journey making some amazing friends that we have met up with at parks across North America.
You can also take advantage of an exclusive two-year deal for the Coaster Crew Platinum membership for the best deal out there!
Our Coaster Crew membership has long gotten us into one of the premier roller coaster events of the year, Coasterstock at Kings Island. This two day event in May brings hours of exclusive ride time (ERT), meals, behind-the-scenes tours, and tons of time with friends (which we happen to find one of the most rewarding aspects of the event). We find Coasterstock to be a high value event that is well worth the investment for our family.
Given that Orion is coming to Kings Island in 2020, now would be a great time to get your Coaster Crew membership to be prepared for Coasterstock 2020, which is guaranteed to sell out faster than ever when tickets go on sale.
2019 Dorney Park Coaster Madness
In the past, Dorney Park has held a similar style event called Coaster Madness that has been on our radar. However, it was not an event we were able to make happen in the past due to scheduling. However, this year, the tides (i.e. jobs) have changed, making Coaster Madness a viable option.
Dorney Park is hosting Coaster Madness on October 13, 2019, with events happening all day from 10:00 am until 11:00 pm.
While schedule details are still being finalized for this years Coaster Madness, there are guaranteed behind-the-scenes photo opportunities, ERT on Possessed, The Whip & Monster Jam Thunder Alley™, plus lunch and dinner. In addition to the park celebrating Haunt and the Great Pumpkin Fest, they will also be hosting the Monster Jam Thunder Alley experience.
This is where the value portion comes in. For passholders, Coaster Madness is only $40, and $50 for everyone else. That includes admission and parking to the Dorney Park, two meals, a single day souvenir bottle, Fright Lane and Fast Lane, plus all the special access! Front of the line passes to rides and Haunt mazes? Yes please!
The combo Fright Lane & Fast Lane on October 13 is selling for $47 alone, making this an extremely good deal!
Coaster Madness also includes two meals during the event. Lunch and an all-you-can-eat Fright Feast meal for dinner, which includes the scare actors!
The Fright Feast menu includes Pumpkin Ravioli with a Brown Butter Sauce, Garlic Parmesan Chicken Breast, Hamburgers, Red skin Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon, Dirt Cups, and Coca Cola Beverages. Fright Feast alone normally costs $20 per person ($15 for passholders or $5 for those with a dining plan).
There is so much value packed into Coaster Madness, how can you pass up this event?
If you have attended previous year Coaster Madness events at Dorney Park, let us know in the comments what we should be excited to experience for this event.
