180914 Cedar Point HalloWeekends Trail of the Forsaken

Where the heck has the season gone already? Here it is August, and it feels like the 2019 season just began yesterday. After a casual walk through the park, there are already signs of HalloWeekends coming to life at Cedar Point. So it is always an interesting time to look at the 2019 Cedar Point HalloWeekends changes.

Note, the parks are in the very early stages of releasing details for Haunt, so items below are subject to change.

2019 No Boo Necklaces

Each year Cedar Fair parks offer the No Boo necklaces for those who do not wish to be scared in the outdoor scare zones. No Boo necklaces are not intended to be used on indoor mazes. The 2019 No Boo necklaces feature a glowing spider.

Note, there is nothing that says you can not use No Boo necklaces from previous years. Though it is up to the actors discretion on whether to acknowledge them.

Midnight Syndicate: Creatures of Darkness

The next evolution of the Midnight Syndicate stage show returns to the Jack Aldrich Theatre, features Creatures of Darkness.

Creations of the dark arts stand beside you. Join Midnight Syndicate in this all-new story of a struggling artist gone wrong. Keep your eye on your creations – you never know what might happen in the dark…

It is always FUN to see these guys return with their latest mystery of the night creations!

Happily Never After

New for 2019, Happily Never After will debut in Red Garter Saloon.

Wander into the deep, dark forest where fond fairy tale memories take a twisted turn. Classic rock & glam metal are the demented soundtrack for this all new nightmare world.

Toxicity

The third show to take over the Celebration Stage will be Toxicity. “Step into the mangled debris of a skeletal battleground from once before. But macabre creatures still roam this land, some with abilities unknown to man. Watch their death-defying flips, tricks and stunts, all before your human eyes.

Pumpkin Patches

New to the BackBeatQue stage will be the Pumpkin Patches, which should be a really entertaining show of groovy Halloween beats.

CornStalkers II: Revenge of the Pumpkin Heads

Notably missing from this years lineup of outdoor scare zones is CornStalkers. The outdoor scare zone takes place inside of the Thunder Canyon attraction and first debuted in 2008, so it was due for an update. After a little additional investigation, it looks like the outdoor scare zone will be reimagined for 2019 as CornStalkers II: Revenge of the Pumpkin Heads!

“Just when you thought walking through the dark and foggy corn field was spooky enough, it gets worse! Demented pumpkin heads, along with farmers, animals and living corn stalks, are doing everything they can to terrorize and spook you into never coming back again.”

This is very exciting news as the CornStalkers zone has always been very popular!

Dead End Kitchen Alley

Food trucks have become a staple to enjoy during the shoulder parts of the season. This year, Cedar Point will concentrate the trucks in Dead End Kitchen Alley around the Celebration Plaza (where the Monster Trucks were located).

Returning Mazes and Scare Zones

The following indoor haunted mazes and outdoor scare zones are scheduled to return for the 2019 season.

– Blood on the Bayou
– Cut Throat Cove
– Deprivation
– Fearground Freakshow
– G.A. Boeckling’s Eerie Estate
– Harvest Fear
– Hexed: Lights Out
– Slaughter House
– Tombstone Terror-tory
– Trail of the Forsaken
– Zombie High School

We also really hope the daytime experiences at The Mystery of Eerie Estate and Zombie Jr. High return, as they were a lot of FUN for the tween crowd with families that might be a little intimidated by walking into the houses at night.

Expect to see other new details revealed as we get closer to the beginning of haunt at Cedar Point!

What are you most excited to experience in the fog this season?
