We are excited to learn that Worlds of Fun amusement park, a Cedar Fair park, will launch a new event this spring, the Food & Wine Festival.
Reserved for guests 21 and under, the event will take place May 9, 10, and 16, 2015 from 1:00-7:00 pm. Tickets are $25 and require separate admission ticket to the park. Or purchase the combo admission and event ticket for $59.99.
Gold & Platinum Season Passholders will get (1) tasting at the winery booth of their choice upon checking in at festival check in booth at the Worlds of Fun front gate to receive your sample voucher.
Guests will receive (2), 2 oz. tastings at 6 different locations – each locations with 4 varieties of wines to choose from and a featured food pairing that compliments the Featured Wine.
Tasting booths will be set up at the following locations in the park: Scandinavia, Orient, Americana (2), Europa (2).
The following tasting foods will be available during the event:
– Bruschetta – Cherry tomatoes paired with a pesto aioli atop a Parmesan crostini
– Grilled BBQ prawns accompanied with a savory corn relish
– Asian chicken dumplings filled with mushrooms, vegetables and a soy hijiki sauce
– New Zealand Lamb Chop bites grilled with roasted garlic and fresh herbs
– Lemon Short Bread Cookie baked with a hint of orange and lemon zest
– Rich chocolate cake squares – served with a crack-burnt hazelnut caramel sauce

– Somerset Ridge (KS) – Americana (Chardonnel – dry white; Riesling – semi sweet white; Flyboy Red – dry red; Buffalo Red – semi sweet red; Citron (Specialty))
