CEDAR POINT PERCH – One of the signature Cedar Point food options that relate to the region and locally sourced from Lake Erie is the Perch Sandwich from Lakeside Express, located adjacent to the GateKeeper.
The Yellow Lake Perch Sandwich includes fries, chips, or a fruit cup. The perch meal deal is also available using the All-Day/All-Season dining plans. See Cedar Point dining plans for more info.
The perch sandwich was on the dining plans in 2014 but was removed from the all-day/all-season dining plans (it remained on the single meal deal) for the 2015 and 2016 seasons. We heard it time and time again to add it back onto the dining plans, and we were really excited to see our request was granted in 2017! The perch sandwich is now available on the All-Day/All-Season dining plans but not the Single Meal deals.
Previously, the sandwich was served with two fresh pieces of fried perch on a sesame bun with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a side of tartar sauce. For 2017, the perch sandwich includes 4 pieces of fried perch, lettuce, and tomato on a sesame seed bun with tartar sauce. Update 5/31/17: Several guests have reported that the perch sandwich has now been reduced from 4 to 2 pieces of fish.
After applying the tartar sauce to the bun, we were quite surprised how good the sandwich was, as the vegetables were fresh, and the sauce added a nice flavor. The fish was crispy and had no fishy taste (and thankfully no bones).
The fries that come with all of the meal deals are standard issue fries and far different than the fresh cut fries served elsewhere around the park. Dipping them in excess tartar sauce makes for a nice compliment though.
The perch sandwich is fantastic and provides a nice break from the standard burgers and pizza. We think the perch really needs to be promoted as a signature dish at the park that ties in the locally sourced fish as a great meal option.

Hello, love this page first off. I just got the perch sandwich( 5-31-17 @5:20pm) on the meal plan, only had 2 small pieces of fish? I was under the assumption, according to the posted menu , that they were putting 4 pieces on this year? Just wondering if I was jipped or they changed it already?

We got it today also and only had the 2 pieces also. They said they it was changed when I questioned. We were there last week and it was 4 pieces then. Stinks they are changing already and haven’t been open for a month yet!
