Starting in 2018, Frontier Foldovers, eatery started offering a flat bread sandwich with a variety of options has become one of our favorite go-to meals for the season. For 2019, the stand was rebranded to Gristmill Wild Eats but the menu remains relatively the same. We consider Gristmill Wild Eats one of the more value orientated menu options, especially for the Cedar Point dining plan.
Dining plan members currently have the option of the Crispy Chicken Foldover, the Sicilian Foldover, or the Veggie Sausage Foldover.
However, Gristmill Wild Eats also offers a premium option not included on the dining plan, the BBQ Brisket foldover.
The flat bread sandwich features sliced brisket, spinach, red onion, garlic aioli, and BBQ sauce.
The bread was nicely toasted (thank you) and loaded with veggies. This sandwich, in all honesty, is fantastic! We were quite surprised how great this sandwich tasted, especially after having all the foldover options in front of us and tasting them all in one sitting.
From the BBQ sauce to the fresh vegetables, this meal had it all.
The only con associated with the BBQ Brisket foldover is it costs extra and not included on the dining plan. The funny thing is a guest could walk over to Back-Beat-Que and get a plate with brisket, a side and cornbread muffin on the dining plan. Seeing the portion sizes are similar, there is no reason the BBQ Brisket foldover should not be on the dining plan.
