Maggie’s Smokehouse and Fried Chicken has been providing mouthwatering meals to guests at California’s Great America since 1976. After the restaurant received a major renovation for the 2017 season, some new food options were added to the menu that we were excited to try.

One of the signature meals is the Kick’n Chicken Sandwich.

The park takes two of Maggie’s traditional hand-breaded chicken tenders and top it with a spicy cabbage mix and aioli that can be custom made to your liking in front of the guest.

The sandwich is tremendously flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The meal also includes choice of sides like mac and cheese or fresh fruit.

Since first being introduced, the Kick’n Chicken sandwich has been included on the California’s Great America dining plan, which makes us extremely happy!

Our only suggestion is we would like to see the sandwich served on a more hearty bread to hold the sandwich together. Or perhaps even toasting the bun.
