You will forever wish you never gave into these treats during bathing suit season at Cedar Point. Lets review 9 Things You Will Regret Eating at Cedar Point!

1. Oatmeal Cream Pie (Firehouse Grilling Company food truck)

You will never settle for the store bought oatmeal cream pies again after you taste these beauties. It is one of those rare times in life you will be happy to see a firetruck!

The filling is part cold frosting and part almost cheesecake in taste and texture. We have to stop writing now or we will need to leave our workstation and get one ASAP.

2. Hops and Hootenanny (Brew & BBQ)

Chef Phil pulls out all the hurdles and makes the finest barbecue options this side of the Mississippi.

Not only are all the dishes amazing including Spicy Shrimp & Carolina Spoon Bread, Smoked Brisket with Smashed Pork Rind and Spicy Pickle Relish, and Peaches & Cream with Pralines, but the Hops and Hootenanny theming, entertainment, and chance to indulge in all 7 Cedar Point themed beers brought to you by Brew Kettle, make it a food event of pure perfection!

3. Flavored Cotton Candy

We think this one is obvious as to why you should never let this touch your lips.

What is better than cotton candy flavored fluffy stuff? Well thanks for asking…it is simple: layering two new flavors to create a custom treat!

Goodbye pink generic stale cotton candy and hello never settling for less than fun new flavors fresh spun while you watch. We created a Southern Peach and Sour Grape combo (video below) and it happened to be so good, that we ate it so fast and can barely remember it. It must mean we need to get it again!

4. Toft’s, Toft’s, and more Toft’s

Some people say some other local Ohio ice cream shops are tops but once you taste Toft’s scoops, you will give the others the boot.

Whether it is the new Steel Vengeance Brownie or the soft serve Buckeye Bites or the Creamy Cotton Candy flavor, you will not want only one scoop, you will moo for two. Passholders get lucky with this addiction, sundaes are two for one on Sundays with a platinum pass.

5. Pink’s Hot Dog

When you can not go to the West Coast, let the West Coast come to you at this California legend, Pink’s Hot Dogs.

The hot dogs are snappy and the toppings will make you never want a plain ketchup dog again. For shame Pink’s with your food trickery!

6. Starbucks

Sorry fellow social media fantatics, forever more getting your Starbucks caffeine fix anywhere else outside of Cedar Point will not be Instagram worthy enough.

Do not say we did not warn you that your latte never got so many likes as it does photographed in front of a roller coast. It also helps that you can redeem your gift cards and earn reward points towards free lattes (you can not redeem points inside the park). We like to think this is a step up than any other boring Starbucks in the world.

7. Fresh Cut Fries

Fresh cut fries with salt and malt vinegar, or even more ridiculous fresh cut fries with chili and cheese smothering them. I mean come on, could you ever be satisfied with anything other than this after one bite?

Anything with cheese and chili immediately gains street cred in our book. Slap some cheese and chili on cold carrot sticks and celery and we may actually diet.

Try the fries at Fresh Cut, Happy Friar, or Mr. Potato.

8. Cheese on a Stick

Cheese is on a stick with a bunch of carbs in the form of corn meal batter that is then fried to a warm gooey golden crisp for you to literally consume while walking. Ummm. Corn dog who? Diet what? We will take four.

Just stick two in my back pockets while we carry the other two. They are for friends on the other side of the park, I swear…

Try the cheese-on-a-stick at Corral, Happy Friar, or Mr. Potato.

9. Sidewinder Sue’s

Again these sidewinder fries come back to the fresh cut fries principal above. What is better than fries, smothered fries. Even better still, putting BBQ on fries. Sidewinder Sue’s offers a variety of season fry options that are not to be missed.

You will never eat pulled pork on a bun again. Sorry hamburger bun industry, this will be your demise.
