Are you ready for the 2017 Carowinds season to get started? Debuting for the new year is an all new County Fair section of the park featuring four new flat rides and a revamped Flying Cobras roller coaster. The new flat rides are Electro-Spin, Zephyr, Rock ‘N’ Roller, and Do-Si-Do.
With all the new development at the Carolina’s premier amusement park, guests will appreciate that some of the finest food out of all the Cedar Fair amusement parks is coming out of Carowinds. Executive Chef Kris Siuta has finely polished a beautiful machine of culinary excellence. Ask anyone where the best food in the Cedar Fair chain comes from, and we would wage a funnel cake that most would say Harmony Hall at Carowinds.
The hand crafted cuisine and premium ingredients does not go unnoticed, as guests rush to the south for both Fury 325 and the famous barbecue, fresh salads, and signature funnel cakes.

Can out please tell me the difference between the regular food plan for all year & the platinum plan? Also can you please let me know how often you can get meals?
Thanks so much,
Vera
Thanks for your question. There is no difference between the regular food plan for all year & the platinum plan as far as what you can eat. However, the Platinum pass and food plan allow you to eat at all of the Cedar Fair parks. So if you plan on visiting any of the other parks, it is worth paying the upgrade fee. Dining plans allow you to eat twice per day spaced 4 hours apart. Have a great season!
When it says basket, does that mean French fries ? Would they let you substitute for a fruit or veggies if you don’t eat potatoes ? I want to get the all day dining pass for $30 but don’t want to eat fries 2 or 3 times.
If I have a green refill coke cup from last year, am I able to bring it and refill it ? Cost per use or for the whole day?
A1) Baskets typically include a side of fries, though some locations MAY give you an alternate option. Your best bet for alternate sides at Carowinds is in Harmony Hall.
A2) Refills on souvenir cups only apply to current year cups. Therefore, you will not be able to directly refill last years cup, though you can certainly use it for water.
what beverages are included in the free refills for the souvenir cup? Also do you need a certain pass that shows you bought it that day?
Souvenir cups can be filled at any food location with a fountain drink, including Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. As long as you have the cup, no need to show a pass. Just make sure if you have an All-Season cup it is linked to your season pass so they can deactivate and give you a new one for $2.99 in case it’s lost or stolen.
When will you have info on the 2018 meal plans? Thanks! Your site is really informative.
Last year Carowinds never posted the dining plan list on their website, so we had to wait until the park opened. As soon as we get the information, we’ll have it posted on the website. Thanks for your support!
I’m intrigued about the actual mechanics of the all day meal pass. The only official language I’ve found mentions a “90 minute interval.” The obvious interpretation is a 90 minute timer starts after you redeem a meal. But from experience we’ve been able to order meals within 60 minutes. In fact we’ve never been told that we couldn’t redeem a meal. My best guess is that starting at 10am you get a meal credit, and every 90 minutes (so 11:30am, 1pm, etc.) you get a meal credit regardless of when/if you redeem them? Do you have any insights on how it works?
