As first broke on WorldsofFun.org, Frank Wilburn, who had been with Worlds of Fun for 10 years, was let go in mid-October. Frank had started as the General Manager and Vice President of Worlds of Fun in October 2006.
Frank oversaw an estimated budget of $16 million annual EBITDA while overseeing 2,500 part-time employees and 95 full-time employees.
Per WorldsofFun.org, Frank “was unique in that he began his employment at Worlds of Fun in 1982 as a front line food service ambassador, the first General Manager of the park ever to have started as a front line employee at the same park.”
We have confirmed that Tony Carovillano, who was Director of Park Operations at Kings Island, has now been promoted as the VP & General Manager of Worlds of Fun / Oceans of Fun.
