New on the menu this year at California’s Great America is the BAJA Chicken Sandwich.
Guests can get the sandwich on the California’s Great America dining plan at the following locations:
The BAJA Chicken sandwich comes with an guacamole spread with some spice, crispy bacon, American cheese, lettuce and tomato. We are told the sandwich is also supposed to include a corn and bean salsa along with sliced onions. We will plan on getting this sandwich again to see if it changes.
The chicken is a noticable upgrade than previous years and is very good. The new chicken is prepared fresh in the CGA production kitchen. The guacamole was really flavorful and the bacon added a nice amount of saltiness.
Should a corn and bean salsa be added to this sandwich, this will be a really great option.
The only downfall, like many of the sandwiches at Cedar Fair parks nationwide is the cheese is thrown on at the last second, which means it is not melted onto the meat. Really the sandwich could have done without the cheese, as it adds very little flavor to the overall experience.
