Several parks have sent out notices and/or revised their websites on openings as a result of government opening restrictions or lack of staffing.
Canada’s Wonderland
Canada’s Wonderland’s anticipated opening on May 14, 2021 has been in question for some time considering the countries tight lockdown. Up until this week, the park’s website showed the reopening announcement and protocols put in place for the opening. However, the park has made no announcements in recent months/weeks about hiring, and just this week scrubbed the reopening notice from the website.
When Canada’s Wonderland reopens, guests will be able to experience the all new Mountain Bay Cliffs & Beagle Brigade Airfield.
Carowinds
Carowinds opens their park on May 22, and had plans to open Carolina Harbor May 29. However, the park issued a notice to guests that Carolina Harbor opening has been pushed back to June 12 as a result of a staffing shortage. For those looking to work at Carolina Harbor, Carowinds was offering select positions at $14/hr plus a $500 signing bonus.
New for 2021, Carowinds park will receive new Boogie Board Racer & Grand Carnivale.
Kings Dominion
Kings Dominion opens to guests May 22 with an original Soak City opening date of May 29. Due to low staffing, the park has pushed back the opening Soak City until June 19. Kings Dominion is offering wages starting at $15/hr plus bonuses for select positions.
Kings Dominion is adding Coconut Shores addition in Soak City for 2021.
Michigan’s Adventure
Michigan’s Adventure will open on Saturday, May 29. WildWater Adventure waterpark will open June 19, after previously being scheduled to open May 29.
