KINGS ISLAND SALT WATER TAFFY- A staple of the amusement park industry for over the past century has been salt water taffy. What started out on the Atlantic Boardwalk is now made and sold around the world, with each location having their own special process or ingredients.
The story of the salt water taffy sold at both Cedar Point and Kings Island tells us that the version sold at Kings Island is made by the Coffelt Candy Co. located in Springfield, Ohio, while sister park Cedar Point offers both Coffelt taffy and Sweet’s Candy Company, depending on which location in the park you buy them.
Tip: Did you know salt water taffy is NOT actually made with salt water?
While one can purchase some of your standard flavors like vanilla, mint, lemon or chocolate, there are also a variety of Kings Island salt water taffy flavors that one should try.
