Back in 2019, Cedar Fair rolled out a new loyalty reward program to season passholders at select parks. The reward program works by rewarding season passholder guests with randomized emails the more they visit their home park (where they purchased their season pass). There is no publicized reward chart to earn points and try to obtain a higher tier item. The system was built as a randomized promotion to try and get you back into the park.

Unfortunately, the rewards have to be redeemed at your home park. So despite having a Platinum season pass, once you earn a reward, it is not transferrable to another park.

Therefore, for someone like us who have been renewing our season passes at Canada’s Wonderland for the past couple of years, but being local to Cedar Point where we get the majority of our visits each season, the Pass Perks™ program provides little to no benefit to us.

Sadly, with many of the Cedar Fair parks closed for the 2020 season, the Pass Perks was not able to be tested further by the company. However, Cedar Fair brought back the program for 2021 and is offering a very generous promotion for select season passholders. Not only are those passholders able to use all of their purchased passes and add-ons like meal plans, etc. in 2021, but they are giving guests a new credit to be used towards in-park purchases at food and merchandise locations in 2021. (Not valid for alcoholic beverages, all-season dining or beverage plans, or games).

We will provide a Pass Perks™ Loyalty Reward for Platinum Passholders whose home park did not open in 2020. The value of the Pass Perks™ Loyalty Reward will be: $50 for Carowinds and Kings Dominion; $35 at California’s Great America, Gilroy Gardens and Valleyfair. We invite our Platinum Passholders to use their 2020 Platinum Pass at any of our open parks. The Pass Perks™ Loyalty Reward can be used only at the passholder’s home park.

In addition, the following benefits will be rolled out to season passholders at other levels:

– California’s Great America 2020 Gold Passholders receive a $35 loyalty reward.
– California’s Great America 2020 Silver Passholders receive a $25 loyalty reward.
– Carowinds 2020 Gold Passholders receive a $50 loyalty reward.
– Carowinds 2020 Silver Passholders receive a $35 loyalty reward.
– 2020 Gilroy Gardens Premium Members will receive a $35 credit for in-park spending
– 2020 Gilroy Gardens Value Members will receive a $25 credit for in-park spending
– Kings Dominion 2020 Gold Season passholders will get $50 credit
– Kings Dominion 2020 Silver Season passholders will get $35 credit
– Valleyfair Value Pass will receive a $25 Pass Perks™ Loyalty Reward.

This benefit will automatically added onto your season pass for the 2021 season. So that means if you are a Platinum or Gold pass family of four with a home park of Carowinds, you get $200 ($50×4) to use at your whim in 2021. Want that cool new sweatshirt? Go ahead and use your credit.
