As a native Ohioan and a Platinum Cedar Fair passholders since 2015, our family’s favorite benefit is getting to visit all the parks, and especially Cedar Point and Kings Island. When our family and friends notice our travels to the parks, they often come to us to ask for advice and to find the best deal on tickets. So the first thing we do is offer the Bring-A-Friend ticket discounts.
Each season, the Cedar Fair parks offer a standard Bring-A-Friend ticket price and a special discount on tickets for specific dates.
For example, Dorney Park published their 2019 Bring-A-Friend schedule, and the offer on specific dates is incredible!
Both Cedar Point and Kings Island have now loaded into the system the 2019 Bring-A-Friend schedule, so lets take a look at the sweet spots.
2019 Cedar Point Bring-A-Friend Ticket Discounts
UPDATE: Since publishing this article, there have been some significant price changes in the Cedar Point Bring-a-Friend tickets. As of August, these are the current offers to round out the year. The park also appears to have dropped the $19.99 Cedar Point Shores tickets for Thursdays in August.
August 1-18: $44 online; $47 at front gate
August 19-September 2, 7-8: $19.99 online; $32.99 at front gate
The standard Bring-A-Friend rate for the 2019 season at Cedar Point is $44 when purchased online. This rate is valid for dates May 11 through October 27, with exception of special discount dates highlighted below.

Cedar Point Shores is also offering special Bring-A-Friend rates of $26.99 with special $19.99 days on June 27, July 4, 11, 18, 25, August 1, 8 or 15, 2019.
2019 Kings Island Bring-A-Friend Ticket Discounts
The standard Bring-A-Friend rate for the 2019 season at Kings Island is $43 when purchased online. This rate is valid for select dates April 20 through August 25, with exception of special discount dates highlighted below.

The thing to consider beyond the Bring-A-Friend dates, is that the parks are also using this as a promotion to drum up attendance on what could be slower days. Therefore, if you are looking to get in a lot of rides, consider going on one of these days, as the crowds “could” potentially be lower than other days! Obviously this is subject to a lot of factors like weather, etc.
For example, we typically go to Cedar Point on Mother’s Day, and besides Sundays typically being a lower attendance day, the crowds also tend to stay home and, you know, be with their moms. Give her a real thrill and take her to an amusement park full of memories!
