This week, Valleyfair amusement park, located in Shakopee, Minnesota, announced that new for 2015 will be Rita’s Italian Ice. The iconic frozen treat maker has been in business since 1984, with additional locations at Carowinds, Dorney Park, and Kings Dominion.

The new Rita’s will sell not only their famous Italian Ice which is what started the business, but also frozen custard, cream ice, milkshakes, custard cakes and gelati. Guests also have the option of layering the various products in a cup or blending them all together to create your own unique treat.

Rita’s traditionally hands out a free Italian Ice on the first day of spring each year (not applicable at Cedar Fair locations).

Valleyfair will open two locations in the park.

The first will be located adjacent to the Scrambler.

The second Rita’s location will be in the back adjacent to the Looping Starfish and Soak City.
