When it comes to eating, you get your fair share of people who like a typical burger and fries and do not care much for flavors. Then, there are those of us who enjoy stepping outside the box and eating some of the not so common foods.
Luckily, Worlds of Fun amusement park includes some great meal options for guests, but it gets better from there. The park also offers some great options for Worlds of Fun dining plan members.
One of the meal plan options we were excited to try were the gyros served at Gyro Express. Guests have the choice of a traditional lamb gyro or a chicken gyro.
During a recent visit, we were excited to save the chicken gyro for our end of the day meal.
Upon ordering, we were informed they were out of the side items and would be substituting breadsticks for the meal.
The gyro came with sliced chicken gyro meat on a warm flatbread and piled high with lettuce and tomato, before being topped off with cucumber sauce.
The gyro was really good, though we can honestly say we expected to see the gyro meat on a rotating spit and freshly carved. Perhaps we are spoiled with those at the Cleveland Westside Market and the best gyro on the planet, so our expectations were high.
Having a gyro on the Worlds of Fun dining plan was a nice change, and something we look forward to trying again at the park in the future.
