We recently decided to bring home several of the Knott’s Berry Farm boysenberry chocolate bars to tempt us when we were needing a cocoa indulgence. What are the ingredients? How much does it cost? How does it taste? We take a in-depth analysis of the boysenberry chocolate bar.
The boysenberry chocolate bars are made up of milk chocolate (sugar, vegetable oil, cocoa, whey, nonfat milk, soy lecithin [emulsifier], pure vanilla, vanillin), boysenberries, cream (milk), sugar, corn syrup, butter (milk, salt). The bars are made in a 4.5 oz bar and cost $6.99 each.
Upon opening the bar, we were delighted to see the chocolate divided in small squares that could be broken apart for portion control.
The chocolate was very thick and really overpowered the flavor of the very thin layer of boysenberry. We equate the chocolate bar to a Pop-Tart where the lack of filling really disappoints. For the price point, we would like to have tasted a higher quality of chocolate paired with more filling that would even out the flavors. Instead we were quite underwhelmed with the Knott’s boysenberry chocolate bar.
If you tried the boysenberry chocolate bar, do you agree? Let us know below in the comments.
