Prior to 2019, had one even thought about ordering a fish option at Kings Island, your options would have been limited to the fried shrimp from the Island Smokehouse in Soak City or depending on availability, the Coney Bar-B-Que.
However, with the transformation of Miami River Brewhouse and the complete rebuilding of the menu, came the opportunity to add a true fish option to the menu.
We are going to get right to the point. We absolutely love that Kings Island did the London Bridge right. No cheap piece of fried fish. This is the real deal with cod lightly battered and fried. The cod is perfectly cooked and so large, it overhangs the edges of the bun. Now that is a sandwich done right!
The sandwich comes topped with cheese and a superslaw mixture. Perfect! In our opinion, one can not offer fish without a good quality slaw alongside it. The London Bridge offers the superslaw right on the sandwich, giving it a slight crunchy texture.
The only suggestion for this sandwich is it does not come with enough sauce. For those of us who enjoy a good quality tarter sauce or equivalent, we had to ask for some from the back to amp up the flavor.
Like all the sandwiches at Miami River Brewhouse, the bun is also excellent and good quality for holding the meal together.
Meal also comes served with a side of tots (potato barrels).
Altogether, we are really impressed with the London Bridge and hope you are too. Let us know your opinion of this menu option below in the comments.

Are you sure this is fresh cod and not frozen?
I can’t see KI bringing in fresh seafood for this one sandwich.
Maybe it looked like that when the place first opened, but as of July 2020 it’s a tiny piece of fish that does not overhang the bun. Big disappointment.
